question 1
My most successful artwork was definatly my environment piece. It was my best because it shows what I am capable of. I like the way the colors blended together and how the tree showed a lot of movement. I also liked the shading I did on the bottom of the branches. The tree is my best work by far.
question 2
The art work where I overcame the most obstacles was probably my tree because I did the whole thing without testing the blended colors on something else before I put them down. I also added parts to the tree on the final that were not in the rough draft. I also paced my self to make the tree look good but it was almost late and I had to rush to finish the dirt, which is why the dirt doesn't look so good.
Question 3
One of my pieces that shows my growth as an artist was my Man/Machine project. This one showed my growth because it is very detailed. Before I would just throw something down and not really worry about it. On that artwork though, I told my self I was going to take it seriously. The out come was very nice and turned out a lot better than I thought it would.
My other art work that showed my growth was my Home project. This one showed my growth because I took my time and blended the colors the right way. It actually looked somewhat decent. I used to not worry about the blending and just scribble on top of another color instead of doing it right.
question 4
I liked how we had the class because we had our own freedom. I liked the fact that if we didn't get something done that it was on us. How we could work at our own pace, and do the project however we wanted to. This was very effective for me because somedays I didn't feel like working so I could just sit there be lazy for the day. Other days I could work really fast or slower than normal.
